My insides have been knotting themselves up this year. As many of you know, my year has been off to a rough start, and music has been a bit of emotional therapy for me. It has such power to sooth, to inspire, to move, to make me dance, to help me run faster, to urge me to breathe deeper. Having the right music for the moment has proven to be absolutely essential in my life.

I have fallen in love with so much music since the last time I did one of these, so instead of talking up artists and/or albums, I have simply put together a playlist of picks. These are some of the songs that have been getting me through the work day, through a workout, through my chore list, through an afternoon slump, through an unwelcome morning alarm.
